
Girls at St Stithians College have had a busy week competing in various sporting disciplines:
- The St Stithians Girls’ College U14 water polo team was placed third in their first national tournament at the Reddam U14 tournament in Cape Town.
- Three girls were selected to represent Central Gauteng action netball teams. Amara Agbai (U16), Samara Reddy (U14) and Onthatile Keikelame (U14) have been selected to represent the U14 and U16 teams to play in the interprovincial tournament in March.

Photo: Supplied - St Stithians Girls’ College entered their first ever DanceSport fixture. Nikita Jacobs won the open section and Khanyi Nkuhlu made it through to the semi-finals of the U16 section. Eight girls were selected to represent their school at the first fixture hosted by Fourways High School.
- St Stithians girls returned from the Buffalo Regatta and the Selborne Sprints for rowing in East London with a suitcase full of gold medals. At the Buffalo Regatta, Shelby Schoeman won gold in the U16 scull and Shelby Schoeman and Skye Tucker won gold in the U16 double scull. In the U16 squad, Lilitha Ngcwembe, Shannon Reid, Folosade Peleowo, Emma Aitken and Kaileen Govender won gold. In the first double, Jordan Korevaar and Shelby Schoeman won bronze. In the first eight, Moshoeu Khwinana, Mia Rogers, Megan Cronje, Rutendo Kawelenga, Dominique Dos Reis, Jessica Endenburg, Kiera Gouws, Vuyolwethu Mashinini and cox Julia Deverell came second.


In the Selborne Sprints, Shelby Schoeman won gold and Skye Tucker won bronze in the U16 scull. In the U16 double, Shelby Schoeman and Skye Tucker won gold. In the first eight, Moshoeu Khwinana, Mia Rogers, Megan Cronje, Rutendo Kawelenga, Dominique Dos Reis, Jessica Endenburg, Kiera Gouws, Vuyolwethu Mashinini and cox Julia Deverell came second.

- Chloe Nel came third in the Gauteng North Pro Kennex U16 Tennis tournament held in Pretoria.
- In martial arts, Emma O’Gorman won gold for the individual kata and silver for the kumite at the recent Gauteng Provincial Trials.
