The local Vespa riders, known as the Chicken Runners, have started their fundraising for a leukaemia patient on Saturday 12 October but were quick to give back to another charity who do similar work.
Along with approximately 500 other bikers from all over the province,they descended on the MOTH Club in Muldersdrif and supported The Sunflower Fund who assisted in the mammoth task of setting up a Bikers4Bandanas, Miles4Marrow Mass Ride and Fun Day on 13 October.
The charity raise funds to help get information onto the South African Bone Marrow Registry which is accessible worldwide.
For a fee each rider received a badge or bandana and the day was spend eating, drinking, enjoying music and of course admiring motorbikes in every shape and size from the Chicken Runners’ Vespas to giant Honda Gold Wing touring bikes.
