The managing director of World Wide Entertainers and Arts and Crafts’ took him through Midrand and Brits.

He said he enjoyed walking alone and is grateful to all those who supported him during the walk.

“I am doing this on behalf of the South African Rhinos and all the animals in our world,” he added. Myburgh said he doesn’t know how he has raised yet but his aim was to raise at least R100 000.

He said he is looking forward to doing this annually to help take care of other animals as well.

“I am concerned that there might not be any rhinos left in the next five to 10 years due to poaching,” he added.

He said he wanted to donate the money to Kruger National Park, which could help them build proper structures for the safekeeping and protection of the rhinos.

“Those interested in joining me in my next walk are welcome,” he added.

One of the sponsors who is a part-time hairdresser, Jackie Vermeulen, said she felt that Myburgh needed much support.

“He has a lot of courage to do this and he is a great inspiration,” said Vermeulen.

Marchel van Wyk of Vision Embroidery said their shop sponsored Myburgh’s shirt and cap, and did the printing on the shirt.

“We think that it is very nice of him to do the walk for the rhinos,” he added.
