Blooming white and pink blossoms on Ham Street mark the promise of spring for Bastion pupil Nandi Oosthuizen (17).
Like many others, she noticed them while strolling down the street that connects houses to the central business district for groceries, hardware needs and even the record offices.
“Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy winter and its cool tones, but nothing excites me more than the arrival of spring.
“The bright, warm colours, the breath of fresh air and the promise of a warm summer really makes every spring day a good one.”
