Four arrested for assault

FEATHERBROOKE — A security officer is assaulted after responding to a noise complaint.

A security officer at a Featherbrooke Estate was assaulted when he responded to noises on 17 February.

According to Warrant Officer Hitler Ngwenya of Muldersdrift Police Station, the man was attending to a noise pollution complaint from one of the houses.

“A case of assault has been opened and investigations are still going on at the moment. Four people were arrested.”

The guard suffered minor injuries and more suspects relating to the crime are expected to be arrested.

WO Ngwenya urged residents, particularly in estate properties, to be very wary of who they let in on the premises and always report strange behaviour.
