Danika vying to be Little Miss Junior South Africa

Danika Smith will participate in the Miss Junior South Africa 2015 pageant next month.

Four-year-old Danika Smith will represent Gauteng at the Miss Junior South Africa 2015 Pageant next month in Pretoria.

She is also automatically entered into the Face of South Africa 2015 Competition where the public must vote for her.

Danika entered the competition in November where she made it into the regionals.

She only started in February this year and is mentored by former Miss Teen Queen of the Universe of 2013 Sasha Taylor.

“My daughter had low self-esteem last year and we pondered on ways to build it back up. We decided on modelling to help her. We have already seen the results because she is more confident,” said her mother Odette Smith.

The first competition she entered was Mini Supreme Queen where she won first place. Her second competition on the same day was Little Miss Tourism South Africa. She won first place in the competition as well.

“She had stage fright at first but when she competed in the second competition we couldn’t get her off the stage,” said Odette.

Participants will have to pay for their own fees, clothing and accommodation so Pageant South Africa has given participants the permission to look for sponsorship.

To vote for Danika, sms MM04 TO 47018.
