Thousands of students have descended upon the lawns of the Union Buildings in Pretoria on 23 October for a meeting with President Jacob Zuma

Other students allegedly were barring the media to take photos, “they were running in with sticks but they passed and went inside.”
There is heavy SAPS and JMPD presence at the buildings that are escorting the students inside.

Mobile toilets have been set alight and police have doused the flames with water. “The fire was under control but now it seems to be spreading.”
The situation is becoming volatile.” Reports are pouring in about rocks being thrown at police.
Four shots have been fired by the police.
