GALLERY and VIDEO: Christmas tree lights up Clearwater Mall
STRUBEN'S VALLEY – Christmas lights light up in the Clearwater Mall Piazza.
Clearwater Mall hosted their annual Christmas Lights ceremony in the Piazza on 20 November.
Community members and shoppers gathered to witness the third annual event of the huge Christmas tree being lit up.
The ceremony was hosted by SA Bachelor 2015 Wayne Stafford and had amazing performances by the Rhema Church Choir who sang classic Christmas carols, Sean Bouchier, Janine Price, Madame Zingara and SA Bachelor 2014 finalist, Johan Ackerman who dazzled the crowd with an opera performance of Raise Me Up. The Christmas lights were turned on by the winner of the face of Clearwater Mall 2015, Jessica Tovey.
Stafford gave away prizes to the shoppers and gift bags of goodies to the little ones. “This was a very special and magical night, with the festive season coming up – it gave people a boost and reminder that it is a lovely time of the year,” said Stafford. He added that it was a beautiful event and he was happy to see all the chairs filled with families and people standing all around to witness the festivities.
