Petrol hike tonight

Petrol is expected to go up today at midnight, by 88 cents per litre. Diesel will increase by 95 cents and paraffin by 75 cents.

Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan said during his budget speech in February, that the petrol price will cost will cost R12.62 per litre in Gauteng which includes a 30 cents a litre rise in the petrol levy.

The price increase comes as Eskom hikes tariffs by 9.4 percent at the beginning of this month.
