UPDATE: Students block various campus entry points
BRAAMFONTEIN – Student protest against proposed eight percent 2017 fee increase.

Wits SRC galvanised protesting students after the announcement of Higher Education Minister, Blade Nzimande for Universities to have an eight percent fee increase for 2017.
Their protest started on East campus and spread towards the West campus. At each entrance students blocked entry. Some students were lying on the road to block cars from driving any further.

In another tweet the SRC showed students marching on Yale Road towards Empire Road arm in arm showing their solidarity for the #FeesMustFall movement.
