The body of a young man was found in Witpoortjie in the early hours of this morning (1 November). It was found in the open field facing Albasini Street.
When Roodepoort Police detectives arrived on scene, the body was already covered in a sheet. The man, allegedly a student in his 20s was shot in his torso. Family of the deceased was on scene and visibly distraught as police were looking for clues before the body was taken away. The family declined to comment to the media. Police are still investigating the incident.
