26 January is National Spouses Day, a day dedicated to recognising spouses everywhere. It reminds us to make time for our mates.
Life can get busy and often we take for granted how our spouses improve our lives. This day is a non-gift giving day that encourages you to spend some time together and to reconnect with each other. This is the day to show your spouse you care and appreciate everything he or she does for you.
There are many reasons to celebrate, from being thankful for the fulfillment and security of a long-term relationship to the boost of morale and well-being provided by spouses. Use this opportunity to pay a heartfelt compliment to the love of your life – and remember to say, “I love you”.
If it has been a while since you have expressed appreciation to your other half, today is the day. It is important to remember that this day is not about giving gifts, it’s about making time to spend and enjoy with each other.
