Help spread early Christmas spirit

WELTEVREDEN PARK – The Wilro Park Lions Club is counting on the generosity of Weltevreden Park residents for an early Christmas party for the elderly.
The club’s members are collecting blankets, curtains, clothing and other household items to distribute to the elderly on 24 June at the Donovan McDonald Old Age Home in Maraisburg.

“This request goes out to anyone in the community who can contribute good, used clothing, blankets and linen. Please gather together that which you are no longer using and donate to the club. This would be most appreciated and the residents at Donovan McDonald would be very grateful,” said club president, Delphine Ferreira.

Donations can be dropped off with Yan Govender at Gas and Green, Shop 19A in the Hillfox Value Centre.
Any member of the community who would like to assist at the Christmas party or anyone interested in playing Santa Claus is welcome to contact Ferreira for more information.
