Beware these two con men

Metro Police officer wants to warn public.

Many residents might have noticed an oddity on Generaal Pienaar Avenue in Witpoortjie.

The same two men, driving an old white Volkswagen Golf, regularly park their vehicle just past the Engine service station with the hood open. One of them would then stand next to the vehicle holding an empty container, the ruse being that they have run out of petrol and need money. A Metro Police officer has picked up on this and told the Record he had seen the men pulling the same stunt on Golf Club Terrace and Mimosa Street.

The battered white Volkswagen Golf the men use in their con.

He is now appealing to the public not to give the two tricksters any money.

When the Record confronted the two con men, they said they “could not find jobs”.
