
A Grade 7 learner from Maragon Primary School Ruimsig recently became a top drama champion in two national competitions. Graytin Pretorius participated in both the South African Championships and Talent Africa.
In the SA Champs, Graytin competed in 30 items with outstanding results, achieving six gold medals, ten silvers and seven bronzes. He was also selected to be a member of Team South Africa, which will participate at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles later this year.

At the Talent Africa competition, Graytin qualified to be a Gauteng team member and won three gold medals and two bronzes. He was crowned “Grand Champion for Acting” and placed first in the age category 12–14 years. He was also selected to represent South Africa, and will participate in the Talent America competition in New York. He is now a member of the Federation of Performing Arts South Africa.
