Hussein Petersen, uncle of the twins Kyle and Keagen de Silver who died in a horror accident on Friday (25 August), has confirmed that the occupants of the other vehicle have also passed away.

Petersen told the Record that the driver died in hospital on Saturday and the passenger the following day.
Two other teenagers – Liam Ganas and Maleehah Malick – also perished in the accident.

A memorial will be held for Kyle, Keagen and Liam at Lantern School on Thursday (31 August) where all three were learners.
At least two eyewitnesses as well as the driver of the vehicle of which the teenagers were passengers, said the minibus had skipped a red traffic light before smashing into the minivan. It is also alleged that the minibus “reeked of alcohol”.
