The King’s School West Rand Grade 3 learners took the time to read interesting story books to the Grade R learners.
This ‘fun time literacy activity’ is an annual event, one that both grades rather look forward to. The learners took over the school lawns and enjoyed the Spring weather while they read books such as Pirates’ Log and A Cat in the Tree.

Grade R teacher, Bernice Schoeman said, “It creates excitement for reading and being exposed to a variety of books in the Grade R learners, and being able to read to younger learners builds confidence in the Grade 3s”.
