Pedestrian in serious condition after being knocked over
Driver of vehicle unscathed.
A man was left seriously injured this morning when he was knocked over by a light motor vehicle on Christiaan De Wet Road in Kloofendal.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 9.40am, to find the man lying on the side of the road. The vehicle that had hit the man had come to a stop a short distance away.
The man was quickly assessed by paramedics and found to have sustained injuries to his chest and legs, leaving him in a serious condition.
Paramedics treated the man and provided him with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the man was transported to Life Flora for urgent treatment.
The driver of the light motor vehicle was assessed and found to have escaped injury.
Local authorities will be investigating this matter further.
