Celebrate the bizarre on #NationalCuriousEventsDay
If you love conspiracy theories and enjoy pondering inexplicable bizarre events, then 9 October is just the day for you to celebrate, as it is National Curious Events Day.
Although the origins of this curious holiday are unknown, it is suspected that the creators wanted people to focus their attention on all the baffling, peculiar and inexplicable mysteries of the world and stop worrying about life’s small things.
Life is filled with big and small curious events as well as age-old questions without answers. Where do all the socks disappear to after doing laundry? Why do people open their mouths while applying mascara? Some mysteries have been obsessed over by curious and adventurous minds worldwide, like who made Stonehenge and for what purpose? Is Bigfoot real? Can ghosts and humans communicate with each other?
And then there are the bigger, more philosophical mysteries of life. What happens when we die or what is beyond the edge of the universe?
To celebrate, spend some time being inquisitive about the world around you – no matter what kind of curious events interest you. Read or watch some documentaries on some of the famous curious events and incidents that happened in the history of humankind. These documentaries include subjects like the Bermuda Triangle, the Yeti and sightings of the Loch Ness Monster, crop circles and UFO sightings in Roswell. Become a detective yourself and try finding explanations for curious events that intrigue you.
But be careful – it is said that curiosity killed the cat!
