I would appreciate it if you would ask Councillor Nico de Jager to rethink the watering hours.
The hours that changed from 1 September are at the moment unsuitable for the average user to comply with. The reason for this being that until almost the end of October there is very little light for one to see what is being watered.
I, as an 86-year-old pensioner, find it difficult to get around my garden in the dark. I tried last night and as a result I stumbled and fell – fortunately not onto concrete but dried lawn.
Will the councillor take note of this and to help us oldies change the hours back to the winter hours and then change the hours from the 1st of November, when it is still light at 7pm?
Doing this would be much appreciated.
