Making time for a little more wine
A bottle of wine make everything fine

The Roodepoort Rotary Club hosted their annual wine tasting and auction at the Gateway Village last week to raise money for various projects.

According to Darryn Matthews from the Rotary Club, they managed to raise R22 500 that evening. “The money will be plowed back into the community again,” she explained. Darryn added that the next community project will be discussed during the next meeting.

“Last year we managed to build a wheelchair ramp at Florida Park High School. The Hope Village needs some repairs done, so we are looking at assisting them with that.”

The guests were treated to sample wines and eats before the auctioneer Jan de Jong started with the formalities.
