Notorious murder suspects to receive sentence in High Court

Muthan also mentioned that the suspects were involved in a number of attempted murders, business and house robberies as well as murders in the precinct.

A hefty sentence is expected to be handed down to two notorious suspects who kept the Honedew policing precinct under siege for several months.

The brazen men, Nkosinatha Ngwenya (infamously known as Mazinyo) and Andile Nkomo were arrested recently, charged and found guilty in a number of cases presented against them.

“They were terrorising the community of Zandspruit,” said Captain Balan Muthan, the Honeydew Police spokesperson. He added that the duo was found guilty on four counts of murder each.

These men appeared in the Johannesburg High Court on 6 December; however, the matter was postponed to 12 December.
