Annual Christmas Truck spreads cheer in neighbourhood
Festive season cheer for residents

Witpoortjie residents’ festive season was made brighter by the annual Christmas Truck driving through the neighbourhood.
The truck, an initiative from the NG Kerk Culembeeck, took to the streets along with a convoy of bakkies and other vehicles, spreading festive cheer.
Residents joined the youngsters on the truck in dancing to Christmas songs, as they received homemade crackers filled with sweets.

Santa was also part of the parade, and as the group moved through the streets, he made sure to greet the children, share a moment and pose for photographs with them.

The councillor for Ward 71, René Benjamin said she had a great time being part of the parade. “Thank you to all who donated sweets, to Santa for his time, for the vehicles as well as to those who offered up their time to ensure everything was decorated festively. I also want to thank all the youngsters, and especially Becky, for organising the proceedings,” she said.
