South Road a danger zone
A follow-up on the repairs required to the sinkhole in South Road still needs to be done.

A follow-up on the repairs required to the sinkhole in South Road in Lindhaven still needs to be done.
According to Ward 71 councillor René Benjamin the severe weather has increased the size of the sinkhole. “The hole is deeper and poses a huge danger to commuters and motorists,” Benjamin said.
She said a section of the road was closed off, but motorists removed the barriers. “Motorists refuse to use alternative routes. Johannesburg Roads Agency is aware of the situation.”
