National Pi Day

Today is a consistent day to celebrate #NationalPiDay

14 March is celebrated annually as National Pi Day, a day celebrated by both pi enthusiasts and pie lovers alike!

The 14th day of the third month of the year is a consistent day to celebrate the mathematical constant ? that is also known as Pi, which is depicted by the digits 3,14.

The earliest known official or large-scale celebration of Pi Day was organised by Larry Shaw in 1988 at the San Francisco Exploratorium, which is still celebrating this day. The US House of Representatives passed a non-binding resolution on 12 March 2009 in which it recognised 14 March as National Pi Day.

Everyone celebrates Pi Day differently and some of the celebrations include:

– Eating a slice of pie

– Pie-eating contests

– Discussing the significance of the number ?

– In recent times, watching the film – The Life of Pi
