The men’s bowling team at the Witpoortjie Bowling Club has been crowned as the Premier League champions.
“I am very proud of the team’s achievements. We wanted to win the league, and through hard work and dedication, we managed to pull it off,” said George Nysschen, the club’s President, and one of the team members. The team that was crowned as the league champions, consisted of George, Winston Malobolo, Gavin Crockett, Michael Nysschen, Ian Taylor, Allistair Hepburn and Tommy Smith. The substitutes were Jephter Mpetsi and Herbie Fox.
“We have also hosted a very successful Invitational Masters Competition, where many of our teams participated and played very well. We saw very high quality bowling during the competition, and it bodes well for the future of the club,” George said proudly. The winners of the invitational were Jaco Diederich and Jolanda Simmelink.
He added that they also host fun team-building days, and anyone is welcome to join.
