Honeydew CPF office closes down

The Honeydew Community Policing Forum (CPF) has announced the resignation of its administrator, Carmel Wassman. The resignation has the left CPF with no administration office as the Honeydew Police Station-based offices remain closed.

CPF public relations officer, Jon Rosenberg, said they haven’t decided what to do yet, as they are exploring how other police stations run CPFs without a full-time office.

The closure has not only disturbed the administration of the forum but also the trauma unit. However, Rosenberg said that the station has its own trauma unit which operates separately from the CPF. He concluded by saying that a way forward will be discussed during the CPF Sector 2 meeting on 26 April.
