HMC models shine at various competitions
The models participated in three competitions
Models from the HMC Pageantry Academy in Roodepoort recently participated in three different competitions, and did very well in all of them.
The models competed in the Mr and Miss Junior South Africa, Talent Africa as well as the South African Championships, and Sasha Taylor, the director and coach at the academy, said, “We could not be more proud of each model.”
At the Mr and Miss Junior South Africa competition, the models achieved the following:
• Rea Thlabi won the Miss Tiny Junior South Africa title, as well as the Best Interview Award in her category
•Karli Liebenberg won the Miss Mini Teen Junior South Africa title, the Best Interview and the Best Dressed Interview in her category
•Thokozile Nkgadima was awarded the Miss Congeniality title as well as the award for the Best Interview in her category
•Sihosethu Ngomane won the Miss Universal South Africa title as well as the award for the Best Dressed Theme Wear
•Charif Mah Fahs won the Mr Junior South Africa title, and received awards for the Best Interview and the Best of the Best Senior Interview.
The models participating at the South African Championships of Performing Arts managed to bag a total of 17 medals :
• Cailey Cruichshank won a silver and bronze medal
• Mariela Romanelli won a silver medal
• Cosmo Romanelli won a gold medal
• Marisa Romanelli won three gold medals, as well as the trophy for the overall winner and received the grand champ award for the highest overall model score
• Liam Bester won a gold, silver and bronze medal
• Kate Bester won a gold medal and three silver medals
• Kim Peverett won a gold medal
At the Talent Africa championships, Bibi Thladi was crowned as the first princess in the Miss International Princess category, and also received gold medals for casual, swimwear, fitness, formal, high fashion and runway modelling and the spokesmodel category.
