Eight-year-old Fayzaan Hartley’s dream of being able to walk normally is now closer to becoming a reality.
Fayzaan was born with mild cerebral palsey (CP) which resulted in the right side of his body being paralysed. He could not walk properly, because he also had a club foot.

“After our plea was published, a company called Stratum Benefits contacted me and said they wanted to help us to have this operation done. On 21 May, Fayzaan had the operation to correct his right foot. The procedure lengthened the Achilles tendon, and he will now be in a cast for six to eight weeks. As soon as the cast comes off, he will have to go for physiotherapy to get some muscle memory in his foot and tendons back,” said a very happy Rashied Hartley.
He added that they were very grateful for all the help and support received, and said, “I would like to thank the company who made the operation a reality for everything they have done for Fayzaan. Without the help of all the people who had a hand in aiding Fayzaan, this dream would not have come true.”
