Bad weekend for Roodpoort criminals
Arrests made during stop-and-search operations.
During the weekend of 8 to 10 June, the Roodepoort Police arrested 60 suspects while they carried out their stop-and-search operations.
The suspects, aged between 24 and 55, were arrested on the following charges: robbery with a weapon other than a firearm; reckless and negligent driving; malicious damage to property; theft; shoplifting; possession of dagga; possession of drugs; drunken driving; contempt of court and contravention of the Liquor Act 59 of 2003.
The suspects were detained at the Roodepoort Police Station.
