The portion of the road collapsed on 6 July, resulting in the road being closed off for a few days while repairs were being initiated.

The road was reportedly reopened at the end of last week, but motorists had to travel on a gravel layer.

Bertha said the progress on the repairs was pleasing. “JRA is very happy with the progress made to ensure the road was speedily reopened for road users,” she said.
