
Recently, rumours have been circulating on Facebook to the effect that the employees of Pikitup are planning to embark on a strike.
According to the rumours, the employees are apparently planning to throw waste out of the residents’ dustbins on to the streets.

The Record contacted Pickup spokesperson, Muzi Mkhwanazi, to find out whether the rumours are true or not. Muzi stated that they are not, and there is no planned strike.
