Update: Traffic to still avoid this area

Public advised to use alternative routes.

Doreen Road is allegedly still closed after a truck jack-knifed at about 2pm.

It is said that the driver lost control of the truck while travelling down Doreen Road towards Hendrik Potgieter Road. This will adversely affect traffic not only on the road in question but most possibly also on Hendrik Potgieter Road. According to unconfirmed reports, the truck is from Botswana and it will take a while to obtain permission to remove the truck.

Motorists are advised to rather be safe than sorry and consider alternative routes such as the R28, Christiaan de Wet Road and Jim Fouché Road.
