Head over to Loerie Park for Halloween this year
The annual trick or treat walk will also feature once again, but with a bit of a change this year.

The annual community Halloween picnic at Loerie Park will be making a return this year, taking place on Saturday, 27 October.
What has become a permanent fixture in Randpark Ridge in late October for the last few years, the Halloween Trick or Treat Community Picnic will be open to the community at Loerie Park from 3pm onward. Participants are allowed to bring their own picnic baskets and blankets, and the only entrance ‘fee’ is that you HAVE to come dressed up for Halloween in some way or other.
If you don’t feel like going through all the effort of planning and putting a picnic basket together, rest assured – there will loads of stalls you can choose from around the Park. Plus, there also be live music to keep the vibe going throughout the afternoon/ evening.
There will naturally be judging to determine the best dressed and coolest costumes, with the announcement of the winners coming at 6pm.
Unlike last year, where the trick or treat walk wormed its way around the neighbourhood, this year it will be confined to the Park. The afternoon/ evening’s proceedings will come to an end at about 8pm, which gives the children enough time to bounce off the walls and get all the sugar out of their systems before bedtime.
