The police in the Johannesburg West Cluster arrested 123 suspects through various operations that were conducted by the various police stations within the cluster.
These police stations included Roodepoort, Florida, Honeydew, Randburg, Diepsloot, Linden and Douglasdale.

The suspects were arrested for different crimes, including armed robbery, rape, possession of dangerous weapons, possession of drugs, drunken driving, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, shoplifting and illegal gambling.
According to the Cluster spokesperson, Captain Mpho Tshetlhane, one of the suspects was a police officer, who was arrested for corruption.
He added that the Honeydew Police also managed to confiscate two firearms – a pistol and a revolver.
He concluded by saying, “These operations will be ongoing, as part of making the Johannesburg West Cluster a safe and secure area for all.”
