This week, I have to share some good news, or depending on how you read it, some bad news with you.
Have you ever met anyone who immediately said they want to hear the bad news first? I could never quite understand that, because the bad news might not be so bad that it outweighs the good news. I always opt for the good news first because if it is good enough, no other news could be that bad.
Anyway, there are only eight Mondays left before Christmas. Here is the good news part – you still have eight weeks to prepare for your Xmas dinner/ party, to buy gifts and wrap them. In about six to seven weeks, you are officially on leave, unless you are lucky enough to go on leave earlier.
And here is the bad news – there are only eight Mondays left before Christmas. Go ahead, you can scream out loud or silently scream in you head, but we are already in the single digits when we count down the weeks.
I know it is a cliché, but this year has really just flown by. Just the other day, I think it was about two months ago, we made plans for the new year, we still remembered our time with family and friends during the festive season, we were still enjoying our gifts, and now it’s time for some new ones.
I would like to hear from you this year. Given the economic pressure we’re currently facing, are you opting to stay home this year or are you still going to enjoy that seaside holiday you planned earlier?
Either way, if you are planning to go away, remember to make arrangements for your animals as well.
Another thing – it is almost time for the Divali and Guy Fawkes celebrations, so please ensure your pets are safe and secure before the idiots start firing off the dreaded fireworks.
Until next year, take care of one another.
