Another year of the weird and the wonderful in store for AlterEgos in 2019
Yet another jam-packed calendar lies ahead for AlterEgos and its fans in 2019.
After a monumental year in 2018, AlterEgos Events has released the list of events that they have lined up for 2019 for fans of the weird and wonderful.
In the last few years, the realms of the weird and the wonderful have been brought to life on the West Rand by none other than AlterEgos, who host a wide variety of events right throughout the year. The group has firmly established itself in the world of unusual events, having taken over the West Rand.
This year saw record numbers at AlterEgos’ events, from ‘A Viking Thing’ to ‘The Medieval Fayre’, to the ‘Fantasy Fayre’ and ‘Discworld Day’. Each event and festival managed to reach deep down and bring to the fore every person’s deepest fantastical desires to see some of their favourite fantasies brought to life.
Next year promises to be no different, as they plan to kick it off as early as 9 February with ‘A Jump to the Left’ an event with a Rocky Horror Picture Show theme at Rusty Hook. Two weeks later, Rusty Hook will be transformed once again for a ‘Double Feature Movie Night’ to be held in a Steampunk/ western theme.
They will then move to La Vue Guest Lodge on 9 March for the ‘Wild Wild West’ event to be held with a Westworld meets Steampunk theme. Sadly, you’ll have to wait until 25 May for the next event, yet another ‘Double Feature Movie Night’ at Rusty Hook, this time with a Nordic theme.
Things will return to La Vue on 8 June for the ‘Medieval Fayre – Viking Invasion’ with a Viking theme. They will remain at La Vue for the regular ‘Medieval Fayre’ to take place on 1 September, before heading back to Rusty Hook for the final ‘Double Feature Movie Night’ of the year on 26 October, this one with a piratical theme.
The final AlterEgos event of the year will be the ‘Fantasy Fayre’ on 9 November that will also be held with a piratical theme, following on from the ‘Double Feature Movie Night’. If you’re a fan of the weird and possibly other-worldly, then these events are not to be missed!
Note that while it is unlikely, event dates could change, so keep an eye on the AlterEgos Events Facebook page for updates.
