Foster children treated to fun-filled party

In all, the children had a blast, especially when they got the chance to play games, and run around on the field while they eagerly awaited their food.

Child Welfare South Africa Roodepoort (CWSAR) made sure their foster children remembered that they are loved with a special Christmas Party on Friday, 30 November.

Roodepoort’s primary carer for foster children, CWSAR, once again ended the year off on a high note, as the organisation welcomed more than 100 foster children to the Christmas party at Roodepoort Sports Club. While 2018 has been a financially rocky year for CWSAR, they were fortunate enough to have generous food donors for the party, in the form of Dr Oetker and the Garbers family.

The foster children were treated to pizzas from Dr Oetker as well as delicious hotdogs from the Garbers, who braved the sun and the wind on the day to provide the children with extra food. They were also treated to packets of chips, water, and juice, which to us might seem ordinary but to them is a blessing.

Finally, every foster child was handed a very special Christmas gift in the form of a Santa’s Shoebox, which included many an item that the children are in need of. In all, the children had a blast, especially when they got the chance to play games, and run around on the field while they eagerly awaited their food.
