
At least three crimes were committed in the Roodekrans area since Tuesday (2 January), according to Roodekrans Neighbourhood Watch.
On Tuesday there was an attempted housebreaking and damage to property on Wilde Amandel Street. The intruders forced open and broke a kitchen window. But the homeowner was at home and pressed the panic button, after which the intruders fled. The incident took place at about 1.45am.

Also on Tuesday a white Ford Ranger with registration BZ 35 YN GP was stolen at the Wilrogate Shopping Centre .
On Wednesday (3 January) at about 4.44am there was a housebreaking and damage to property on Vuurlelie Street. The suspects cut and lifted the burglar bars and opened a window. The house alarm was triggered and they fled with a handbag and its contents.
