In an effort to change the culture of littering and create a safe environment, Ward 89 councillor, Amelia Bester has organised a clean-up for part of her area.
The A Re Sebetseng-driven clean-up, which takes place on the third Saturday of every month across the City, will be held on 16 February between 9am to 12am at the Fairlands Koppie.
The clean-up will involve the Fairlands Residents Association (FRA) and Community Policing Forum (CPF), according to Amelia.
“I encourage the residents to participate as this is a great opportunity to meet the neighbours,” Amelia urged, adding that, “On the day I will be sponsoring boeries and cool drinks – something nice to build community spirit”.
