Elderly victim tied up with cellphone charger cable during robbery

According to the Johannesburg West Cluster spokesperson, the suspect tied the elderly woman up with a cellphone charger cable while he helped himself to the valuables in the house.

 

Police are on the lookout for a suspect who robbed a 73-year-old woman in Horizon on the afternoon of Monday, 25 February.

According to the Johannesburg West Cluster spokesperson, Captain Balan Muthan, the suspect tied the elderly woman up with a cellphone charger cable while he helped himself to the valuables in the house.

“This unknown suspect gained entry by breaking a window and climbing through it. Once inside, he tied the victim up, and then took R250 and a cellphone before leaving through the same window,” he explained.

According to Muthan, the victim was not injured and the suspect is still at large.
