Show your love for your pets with the SPCA’s photography competition

A variety of prizes is up for grabs

The Roodepoort/ Krugersdorp SPCA is once again hosting its popular ‘I Love My Furkid’ competition.

This competition has been well supported during the past few years, but, to make it a bit more interesting, a new category has been added to this year’s competition, namely ‘I Look Like My Furkid’.

Nicole Manners, the SPCA Fundraiser, said, “We are appealing to community members to show their love for the needy animals cared for by the SPCA, by entering a fun photography competition. You may enter one or both categories and the number of entries are unlimited,” she said.

She added that a donation of R90 per entry is all that is required and said, “There are some lovely prize hampers up for the winners.”

All you need to enter, is the following:

· “I Love My Furkid” – A photograph featuring your precious dog, cat, puppy or kitten. The photo may feature more than one pet, and may also have humans in it.

· “I Look Like My Furkid” – You will need to enter a photograph (or two separate ones) showing yourself and your furkid, to illustrate how much you resemble each other.

Nicole reminded those who wanted to enter that no entries featuring exotic pets will be considered and said, “Entries featuring pets that are dressed up or wearing clothes, will also not be allowed. Your pet does not need to have been adopted from an SPCA to be eligible. The closing date is 12 March 2019.”

Daniel Burger’s Annabelle loves the camera.

Entry forms, with terms and conditions, are available from Roodepoort/ Krugersdorp SPCA fundraiser Nicole on fundraiser@rdptspca.co.za.

Once the form is completed, it should be sent, together with proof of payment, to Nicole.
