Well, that is done and dusted. The only thanks must go to the @parkrunSA team who officiated at the opening and had their officials monitor this inaugural event .
However, @JoburgParksZoo needs to clean up the Davidsonville’s residents filth. It is an absolute health risk running through that filth and the stench of human faeces was absolutely horrendous.
They need to get a grader to clear a path of at least one metre around the dam on Davidsonville’s side for those rude runners who bumped and pushed past me on the current path, barely wide enough for one person’s feet.
We need this done to ensure not only the safety of our Roodepoort residents, but also to make it more pleasant to take part.
This is going to be another sad, unsuccessful story, much like the history of the previous management of the City of Johannesburg.
Honourable Mayor Mashaba needs to come take leadership here to get the work done as it is not happening here whatsoever.
I was so looking forward to this event, initiated by René Benjamin, but it turned out to be an absolute disaster.
