Children kept fit and sharp during school holidays

The clinic was held over a four-day period, with hundreds of children turning out.

The coaches at the Kids Academy of Sport (Kaos) made sure to keep Welties’ children busy during the holidays by holding a four-day netball and soccer clinic at Weltevreden Park Primary.

Ever since they started out a few years ago, Kaos has been transforming the lives of the children for the better through the work that they do through extra-mural fitness programmes at the school. These programmes include a large number of clinics and services they offer to help the children keep their fitness up to scratch at school.

One such programme was the clinic which ran from Monday, 25 March to Thursday, 28 March. The clinic saw children from as young as six up to 13 years old enjoying experienced coaching from Kaos’ netball and soccer coaches.

The children were also rewarded for the hard work they did, with those who really excelled receiving rewards for their outstanding efforts. “We’re just really trying to keep the children active during the holidays,” said Kaos founder, Jacob Boikanyo. “It’s far more than just taking the children off their parents’ hands for the day, it’s about keeping them active and living a healthy lifestyle.”
