A brazen case of hijacking is under intense investigation by the Florida Police following the incident being caught on camera in the Bergbron area.
The station’s spokesperson, Sergeant Mpho More, confirmed the investigation.

The footage of the incident, which surfaced on social media, depicts a female driver, believed to be only 19 years old, being held at gunpoint by the perpetrators, who were driving a white BMW.

The video shows that the victim, driving a new Polo, was followed to her destination and accosted by the hijackers, who knocked aggressively on her window with a gun. She refused to open the window, and one of the suspects fired a shot through it to unlock the vehicle. He dragged the young woman out, then leapt into the car, and fled the scene.
The vehicle was reported to have been recovered in Tembisa, east of Johannesburg.
