This year Keagan Cooper and Anomé Meyer joyfully walked away with The Best Junior Duet at the Talent Africa National competition held at the Roodepoort Civic Centre.

Keagan, 11, from Roodekrans and Anomé, also 11, from Noordheuwel, took part in the Talent Africa National competition and performed a modernised version of Romeo and Juliet that left the judges and audiences amazed.

Keagan also won the Top Ten award, three gold medals and Best Junior Entertainer. Anomé also received gold medal for the act. The two qualified to go to New York City and compete in the Talent America international competition.

They are passionate about acting and practise more than three times a week, because they aim to be perfect on when they get to the stage.

“I am very honoured to reach this stage of the competition. Acting has always been a huge part of my life and it is my dream to reach for the stars,” said Anomé.

“I started acting at the age of 8 and I have entered a lot of local and regional competition and I am very glad to have this opportunity,” said Keagan.
