Donate your old hearing aids to this worthy initiative
Your old hearing aids could make a difference

Do you have an old pair of hearing aids lying at home and are not sure what to do with them? Why not support Project Ears?
Danie Malan, from Rainbow Therapies in Wilro Park, has joined hands with J Kruger and Partners Hearing Centre to make it possible for people who cannot afford to buy new hearing aids to also be able to hear.
He explained: “ There are many people who are in desperate need of hearing aids, but cannot afford them as they do not have medical aid or because their medical aid does not cover them. There are also many people who have a pair of hearing aids lying around at home. They may be old ones that have been replaced by others, or have belonged to a family member who has passed away, and they do not know what to do with them.”
He added that they are urging the community to donate these devices to this worthy cause and said, “The hearing aids can be dropped off at the Hearing Centre in Randridge Mall (opposite Dis-Chem). When dropping the donations off, people should please just mention that they are responding to this notice.”
Danie also mentioned that, if the hearing aids cannot not be dropped off at the centre, collection can be arranged, “Just contact the centre on 011 791 1643 or 071 287 6223. Alternatively, they can contact me on 083 300 7756, and I will arrange for collection.”
He concluded by saying that people who are in need of hearing aids, but really cannot afford them, should contact the Hearing Centre on the abovementioned numbers to receive assistance. “All that is expected is that the person receiving the aids pays the cost of the consultation and the tuning of the hearing aids to suit the recipient,” Danie said.
