Man wanted for various crimes
The Florida Police have launched a manhunt for a suspect accused of rape and robbery in the area.
“It is alleged that on Friday, 1 January, at about 3.30pm, the complainant was on his way to the bank in Florida when a man approached him, wanting to speak to him. The unsuspecting man crossed the street and went to the suspect, who forced him to the railway station at knife-point,” said Sergeant Mpho More.
The complainant was allegedly assaulted and taken to a house in the veld, where his hands and feet were tied. Thereafter, he was allegedly raped, and his bank cards were stolen.
“The suspect managed to escape after his attacker(s) left him there,” said Sergeant More.
