Driver loses control of vehicle in Kloofendal

On Friday night, 31 May, a light motor vehicle crashed into a Armco barrier after the driver lost control of the vehicle on the s bends on Christiaan de Wet Road in Kloofendal.

Netcare 911 responded to the incident at about 22:38, and found that the Armco barrier had penetrated straight through the vehicle.

It is reported that the 19-year-old driver of the car was ejected and found some distances away from the car between the bush and a river, while the passenger was trapped in the car.

Jaws of Life were used to free the 20-year-old passenger from the car.

They were then transported to hospital for further treatment under the care of an Advanced life support paramedic.
