Is ‘Bobby’ back in Roodepoort?
The company stated that they contacted City Parks and Cora Bailey from CLAW and were told to alert everyone not to panic when they see him.
After last being sighted in the Northcliff area, ‘Bobby’ the baboon seems to be back in the Roodepoort area.
This after Absolut Security reported that one of their clients spotted a big baboon walking past his house in the green belt at Fluorite Close in Helderkruin View, heading west in the direction of Doreen Road.
The company stated that they contacted City Parks and Cora Bailey from CLAW and were told to alert everyone not to panic when they see him.

They said it is perfectly normal for baboons to roam around. And this particular one could be looking for a new troop to join.
The company also mentioned that CLAW asked the community to let them know about the baboon’s whereabouts, and if seen, to send a pin of his location to Cora on 076 850 4466.
Some community members have invested in cages to try and trap the baboon, but none have been lucky so far.
